New look to reading RP logs and info

There has been various ways of recording for prosperity what has happened in GFC rps. Back in the early days many rps logs were copied onto a notecard, thrown in a prim and left in some room for members to access.  Reading logs or summaries from a notecard in a virtual world can be tiresome at best, sometimes it wasn't easy to find the one you were looking for and a pain searching in your inventory for them.

The GFC forum can also be used to post roleplay activities, though the problem with that is only members can access the forum which limit distribution to others who maybe interested in reading what happens in our rps.

Some of those members running roleplays created their own blogs to post summaries which opened up access to a much wider audience as just about anyone who can use the internet can read it.

More recently we've created google drive directories to post logs and summaries in, the advantage there is its public, easy to do and uses resources most of us are already using in the group. Problem was if you wanted to look through a list of role play logs the drive interface wasn't the most pleasing and the way it initially opened a file is very clunky, but its a good way to archive logs and summaries because 1. They are public and 2. you can represent them in a variety of ways like embedding in other sites easily which was always the long turn plan for using it.

Strategic Operations programme to start placing a nicer interface to access these logs has started with the USS Malta RP being the first to be given a makeover. Using google sites, we were able to put together a simple, nice looking and easier to navigate site to view logs and information, its still early days and we are still testing what feels nice and more info is due to be added, but it makes giving information about rps not only quicker but more pleasant to look at with wider options to add other items.

Other GFC rp's will be getting the facelift as well. The cool thing about this is nothing those running their rps requires them to change what they have been doing for the last months and years, all the logs are pulled from the Google site directories and embedded in the page so use the exact same source material. When there are any updates needed to already linked documents the updates appear there regardless of the access the person has to the site itself.

New Strategic Operations poster released

Strategic Operations is the supportive arm of rp's in the GFC and they have just released a new set of posters as the first stage of updating associated technology, media and information distribution, over the next few weeks a host of changes and additions to the group are going to be implemented.

To start the new ball rolling 2 designs of posters have been release in the GFC

The first design implements the adshell 4 sheet type dimensions used for both outdoor and indoor small poster boards. It features someone sitting at the captains chair with the Strat Ops logo behind them against the backdrop of a starfield.

The second poster chooses the 48 sheet dimension type used mainly for large outdoor displays and can be viewed on the giant resizing boards situated in aeon's sandbox, outside the roddenberry in galaxy and next to the lake in Sovereign. The picture uses the same graphic resources which are replace to fit the different size and ratio of the picture, for instance this design takes the logo and places it from behind the character on the chair to the side of them. As with commercial advertising multiple designs are created to cover the different size of ads, location placement or item the ad is produced on.

USS Magis+er bridge unvailed

A new bridge set has been introduced to the GFC by Strategic Operations newest games master Langy moorland. Part of a games masters job is to create new concepts for roleplaying in the group, within his first week in the position he's started by creating a bridge which doesn't just have the usual buttons you press which go bleep and make sounds, but he's included the ability to add random elements of chance to events which can happen in the rp.

Normally in an rp members would add to the story as they roleplay, if they add a scenario like the aliens aren't friendly and the captain wanted the aliens to be friendly, you'd have a dilemma, or if your ship gets hit, how much damage would you take or would you even be fired on in the first place.

By using elements of chance, like true or false, rolling numbers between 1-10/1-100 you can an add these to the roleplay and change the outcome to an extent, even the mission commander of the roleplay may not know how it pans out, which gives a fresh feel to rping in the group. It also allows for the opportunity to have an rp which ends in your mission being a failure, so your not sure how successful your going to be when you start.

Also the set gives a good opportunity to teach members about rping, what stations are available on the bridge and how to rp at them, Langy is putting together a tutorial for rpers to learn from.

A few of us have already tried out the set and played with the random elements and found the whole experience fun and a breath of fresh air and look forward to seeing how people rp on the set in the future.

(click to see all photos when selected)

Extra

Just for laugh we recorded a fun video of a few of us  cluelessly rping deliberately badly in the set, hope it puts a smile on your faces, we had fun doing it.

Strategic Operations reboot & Divisional Front Pages

Strategic Operations Front Page
This week the Roleplaying division of the GFC received its long awaited reboot, dramatic changes were made to the group. First of all just about every aspect of the division was restarted from scratch, new roles created and a dedicated site page created.

The main focus in the new look Strategic Operations division was giving the rpers more control over the rps they run. The person controlling a roleplay event is called a Mission Commander, usually they are the captains of the ship or commander of the scenario. The role of a Mission Commander is to run all aspects of their rps, from the selection of the crew, recording of logs of the rp and how the event is projected to the rest of the group. Due to the fact scheduled rps are self enclosed they are in full control of running their rps as an event and have the final say how it works, the scenario and storyline. This way rpers are allowed to rp freely and be experimental with their role plays. They usually have an assistant in the form of an XO who works with them and takes over their roles in their absence.

Multi-Media and role play logs

Strategic Operation Coordinators

These are the members who deal with the day to day enquiries of the division, if people want to join Strat Ops or need face to face information and advice they are the people to chat to. They are also responsible for making sure information is up to date and generally keep things ticking along, though they aren't officially leads they do have similar responsibilities as them.

Strategic Operation Game Master

This type of role is for members who create storylines, scenarios which may or may not be related to a scheduled rp. They will also create random scenarios which members can interact with, these can happen at anytime out of the blue.

Strategic Operation Reporter

A reporters duties will include helping publicise role play activity in written stories, articles, pictures, audio or video forms from a variety of sources like websites, blogs, social media.

Strategic Operation Admin

Documentation is an important factor in any division, an admin officer would help make sure paperwork is done to keep information updated as possible. if we need information, its should be the right information to the best of our abilities.

Strategic Operation Directors

These will be sim owners and or senior members, who will overlook the division just to make sure things are going well, they'll usually not deal with the day to day running of the division, but in the event of policy changes and situations which can't be resolved by other members they can assist in looking for a resolvement.

Calendar and Staff information
Keeping logs of roleplays isn't just great for storing group history but keeping other members informed about what happened in a recent rp. These logs are now easily available online not just for members to read, but anyone on the net.

A special front page has been created to link information about activities in the division, the idea of front pages are to have a place where important links are easy to find with no need to constantly having to bookmark various sites. As divisions can manage their own online site they have the opportunity to reflect more what divisional members do and want. Links to other members pages or information could be added to creating a network of activity and relevant data.

The Strategic Operation from page launched a few days ago, links on the page site added requests for joining the division, reading the mission statement, tips on how to create an rp in the group and submitting an rp request, FAQ, calendar, rp logs and descriptions audio and video links and pointers to other GFC resources. This was all wrapped in popup window design which makes reading the information not just more pleasurable but keeps it on one screen.

As time goes on more additions are going to be added and better ways of viewing certain information, so watch this space.

New Strategic Operation Lead Sentenced

New Strategic Operations Lead - Phedre Aonifall
The normal way to introduce a new lead would be maybe to send a message out in the chat group or announce it in a Senior officers meeting (SOM) and maybe during the general meeting. For a bit of fun this weekend when Phedre was to be announced the position of Strategic Operations Lead we thought we'd do something different.

As everyone sat down waiting for the General meeting to start a message was sent in the security channel to escort Mrs out of the building and to wait outside. Unfortunately, Phedre is a member of security so heard the message, the plan could have been in tatters, what do you do, cry, scream, throw prims around....nah, just say sod it and carry on regardless.

So Phedre stood outside accompanied by 2 security officers....

Phedre Under  Security Guard
When she was marched in, a mini questioning began, she was asked if she was guilty of applying for the Strat Ops lead position, she testified to her guilt, she was question on whether she would be guilty of helping to create exciting rping events, she affirmed her guilt of trying to do so, with this questioning over she was sentenced for an indefinite time of hard labour as lead of strat ops, to slave away helping and encouraging RP's in the fleet.

Sentence will commence....NOW

U.S.S Paris - The Strategic Operations / AAC Roleplay!

U.S.S Paris - Captain Sholokhov

Another Day, Another Post, Another Captain, Another RolePlay!

Yesterday I took part in the Strategic Operations / Academy Air Corps RolePlay that took place on the U.S.S Paris at 6pm SLT (Thursday). I can tell you it was a Blast!

(Left To Right)

Lieutenant (JG) Gokyu Ugajin - Helmsman
Ensign Seven of Nine - Tactical
Captain Malcolm Sholokhov - Captain
Ensign Jimmy Vehrous - Engineering
Crewman 2nd Class Dustin Sunflower - Communication
Ensign Phedre Aionfall - Space ATC

Of course, I couldn't resist being the grumpy enineering officer who actually didn't care about the lives of the other crewmembers. Though I am not usually so cruel I did rather enjoy it so, I may be making some personality adjustments in the future!

We were sent on a mission to find and recover a lost Science Vessel, the U.S.S Castor. However en route we found Hyper-anomalies scattered around space that would cause horrific damage if we ventured too close. Luckily the Paris was small enough to fly in and out of these disturbances and make it to the Science Vessel unharmed.

Of Course, me being the grumpy Engineering Officer was shouting the whole way there and couldn't believe that we were about to risk our lives for other people! Then, the worst happened - an unidentified ship was travelling towards us!

Our Tactical officer shot what should have been a warning shot at the incoming vessel which was in fact a shot that damaged they're ship severely!

Captain Malcolm Sholokhov has a decision to make.
Do we:
Rescue the crew from the Science Ship? (Original Mission)
Or
Split up and Rescue crews from both damaged ships?

Gokyu, Scared for his life!

Catch up with the Crew of the U.S.S Paris next week, same time same place to see what Captain Sholokhoc decides to do!
...
IF you forgot)

Thursdays 6pm SLT
Meet on U.S.S Paris - Sovereign

Hope to see you guys there!

GFC RolePlay

GFC Strategic Operations - RolePlay

Greetings to you all!

As you probably already know, GFC strategic Operations host an array of RolePlay's and today I am going to explain them here.

I wanted to write this report because I want to try and expand the knowledge of events here in GFC and advertise what an amazing experience RolePlay can be if you open your mind.

The information below is of a few (not all) the RolePlay's that happen here at GFC. Please have a look at the calendars located on the drop down menu on the left of your screen for one that matched your time zone.

(Please note the information here is up-to-date at the time of writing this post)

U.S.S Ajax

CO: Cobramax Mechanique

Time: Tuesday 6:30PM SLT (Wednesday 2:30AM GMT)

Please meet the crew of the Ajax in Aeon Sandbox if you'd like to participate.

The longest running StarTrek RolePlay available in Secondlife. Pop by if you'd like to take a trip with the Admiral himself! Always a blast and the storyline is epic. A definite date to remember!

U.S.S Magellan

CO: Kal Aie
XO: Dustin Thunderstorm

Time: Monday 5PM SLT (1AM Tuesday GMT)

Please give Kal or Dustin an IM when the time comes to get an TP to their location off world.

This Roleplay is headed by our resident Klingon Kal. Though the story line is often rather extreme, it is so fun to be a part of and I would urge you all to give it a shot if you find the time.

U.S.S Gibraltar

CO: Robobby McMillan

Time: Impromptu (Keep and ear out for it)

The Gibraltar - from what I've heard - was always an exciting adventure. Away missions left right and centre so always packed with interesting things to do. If you are lucky enough to be in world when the Gibraltar decides to make an appearance, make sure you get a front seat!

U.S.S Cymru

CO: Kieran Braveheart
XO: Malic Skytower

Time: Tuesday 1PM SLT (Tuesday 9PM GMT)

Meet the crew in Aeon Sandbox around this time to take part.

One of the only GMT based RolePlay in GFC at the moment, a new born RolePlay also. I have not had the chance to attend this RolePlay yet however I have heard that the story is explosive.

Quarks RolePlay

CO: Phedre Aionfall
XO: Jimmy Vehrous

Time: Friday 10PM SLT (Friday 6PM GMT)

Meet in Quarks Bar on DS19 in character to enjoy this RolePlay

A new type of RolePlay seen here at GFC. This is European friendly - meaning that it is at a time where Europeans are awake - based on character RP. It is a brand new RolePlay kicking off so I hope to see all you guys there!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Well, there if 5 RolePlays for you that should get you excited, and if it doesn't, then your mad!

 *winks*

I hope that this Post has been both interesting and informative for you and that we will see pleanty more people taking part in these RolePlay's.

Remember that it's the taking part that counts.

Thanks you for reading this rather long post.

Jimmy.

Message from the future!

DS19 is hailing us.
The transmission is from Admiral Jimmy Vehrous.
We are only getting fractions of the message, it's fluctuating.
The message has a time variance.
It's from the Future!

"GalaxyFleetCommand, do you hear me?
"The Borg are attacking the Alpha Quadrant, and have caused a rift in time"
"I am using the last bit of power that DS19 has to offer to send you this message"

"The Borg have trampled the Alpha Quadrant, we couldn't stop them"
"Before they destoryed GFC, we found a buried fighter shuttle, one not seen before in our history"
"We called it the Gryphon; an extremely advanced craft, one which may be able to defeat the Borg"

"We believe the Borg set GFC of out time into a sort of Subspace time inversion field"
"Things were posing up everywhere, from 21st century cars, to technology we hadn't seen before"
"We of course didn't have enough time to reverse engineer any of this stuff, so we sent a message"

"We had the holo emitter of Richardjrn Weatherwax ... It hurts, but it ceased to work years ago"
"We used it to send a message back in time to the user of that device, in your time"
"We hope that he was able to build the Gryphon, and hopefully save the Alpha Quadrant"

"By my estimates the Borg will not attack in your time for another 5 years"
"We wanted to give you plenty of warning"
"Please, you must save GalaxyFleetCommand"

"I've sent you information about the Gryphon just in case Richard did not receive our message"

"I want to clarify the extent of the Borg threat"

"Admiral snapper Desade was killed in action when the U.S.S. SellTa was destroyed "
"Vice Admiral Debbydo has been missing in action for roughly 5 months"
"Vice Admiral Gokyu Ugajin was killed during the final battle of Bajor"
"Ambassador Kal, died when the Klingon fleet fell"
"Captain Sodak fell when the U.S.S. Paris was destroyed defending Vulcan"
"Captain Gandalf Nakamura fell while defending the GFC Museum"
"Commodre Kaori Juliesse, Captain Starr Jetamie, Captain Tomas Aker, Captain Robobby McMillian, Captain Birdie Ireland, Commander Malic Skytower, Commander Dustin Thunderstorm and many other GFC crew killed during the battle and fall of the Sol system"

"Please heed my call!"
"Admiral Phedre Aionfall and myself will defend DS19 for as long as possible"
"She is alive, commanding the last known Federation vessel the U.S.S. Dentdelion"
"Please, save the Alpha Quadrant"

"This is the end"
"Admiral Jimmy Vehrous out"

I am extremely unsure why I felt it necessary to write this rather morbid post, however I enjoyed it, I hope that you do too.

Jimmy Vehrous.

Freeze Frame of GFC Blooper Video Released.

Sparroe - DS19 - R % R

As members of the GFC news blog, we get inside access to special information earlier than the usual public release.

Today's special information was the sneak peak to the upcoming Blooper reel!

As you can see below miss Sparroe looks like she is having difficulty displaying what she calls "Dance skills taught to her by Mikhil Baryshnikov himself!" However actually she just took a tumble and this picture was taken "Mid-fall".

But, this picture joins archives and archives of similar photo's of our Avatars looking ... not so glamorous.

But what is important is that these photo's are a memory, a history, a legend, we are making the footsteps in the sand.
One day when this Blog may ... or may not be disused, someone will stumble across it a follow the footsteps.

Welcome to GFC History Folks!
It's here to stay!

(Please note: Blooper reel is fictional, Only used for content)

Can you see how things can be misinterpreted?

I make mistakes,
you make mistakes,
we all make mistakes,
and we always forget this fact!

Sometimes a little bit of Self analysis is in order,
instead of pointing out these mistakes
what can we do to help them correct it?

GFC is a communal effort,
We cannot ridicule one another for mistake making,
Let's drop the hostility and unite,
Live the Dream.

Quarks RP Fridays at 10am slt!!

DS 19 has been renovated and is now positioned near Al Raquis. (Think outside the box) Captain Phedre Aonifall and her First Officer Jim are lounging in Quark's after a nice tour of the renovations. The lovely green skinned bartender keeps conversation with the locals as she serves up some colorful cocktails.

Come join our newest rp and see what exciting things will be discovered or uncovered :)

The Labor of Love

With only a few weeks left until the bi-annual ball, I sit at my desk in Galaxy Sim pondering the task at hand. I love my office. It is ranges from very quiet to full of thoughts, ideas, and wonderfully exciting plans. I enjoy the solitude, but it is always such a delight to be interrupted from the paperwork- grind by...Jim... for example...beaming in with a rush of words about all that's going on in OPFOR. The pressure eases and a huge smile spreads across my face. My nc is still in front of me, but... 'it can wait' ...I say to myself. The enthusiasm is contagious. I have to set 'work' aside and revel in the moment. After all, isn't that what SL is all about?? Taking time out from RL...savoring a moment with distant friends who are sometimes more dear than those that live right next door...taking part in something that is real and fantasy at the same time...how could I not set the paperwork aside just a moment with Jim??
Then... in comes Deb...it seems we have been caught!!... 'It can wait a bit longer'... I tell myself...Deb is such a delight and the best aide I have ever had in Strat Ops...(okay..the only one so far..but how could you replace her?) Her spirit is kind and sweet...enthusiastic but very observant. Without her temperance the team would not be the same.Wherever Deb is you can usually find snapper close by...'okay a minute longer'...how could I resist taking a moment to enjoy his quick wit and creative mind?? impossible for me...
Then...just when I think...I may be able to focus on the paperwork...G saunters in!!! (Yes I said saunters!!) It is always a low key appearance...never a huge "howdy do!" but boy oh boy....you just never know...what he is going to look like from one day to the next. Always jovial, always energetic, always ready to do whatever he can do to get the job done... there he stands..and stands...and stands...ooops!!! It seems I am focused on the paperwork now. *smiles huge*
My most difficult assignment as Lead of a division is to recommend awards and promotions...I thought about it...looked things over...sought opinions...rifled through logs...and all of the other things a lead should do. In the end all I could do is send a list...
My mind felt content that I had the opportunity to share with all of GFC the value and dedication of people behind a screen who choose to be here. In my heart I would rather just say to all of the people mentioned above and those that were not. "I know your value. I know your worth. I know the difference that you make not only in GFC, but to every being whose heart you touch on the other side of the screen in this virtual world known as SL. So this post is for all of you!! I thank you personally for all of your time, effort, dedication, and most importantly your friendship. You have made a difference in my life and would that I had a real medal or promotion to give you for it!! My best of wishes to you all at the bi-annual ball and may our friendships be everlasting...Cheers to you that make Strat Ops what it is!!"

Strategic Operations

Greetings all and thank you for following GFC news. As director of Strategic Operations I want to send my thanks to all of you for making GFC what it is today. I have been a proud member of GFC for going on two years now.

It all began the day I ran into a member while shopping at my local freebie market. Being a huge fan of ST he stood out among the regular crowd. He told me about this wonderful place named GalaxyFleetCommand and offered to come along with me for a visit, and what a visit it was. :) I was introduced to this group called the AAC and this one guy named Gokyu who got it in his head he could teach me to fly. Since I have always loved a good challenge I decided to take him up on his offer. Many many crashes and a chicken coop later...lo and behold I actually became a pilot in the Air Academy. (emmm..my callsign is still crash) Somehow I even managed to become Sigma Squadron Leader and flight instructor.

My many months as Squadron Leader was so exciting! I met a great guy at Quark's after flight training one evening. Orion leader Mr. Barbosa was the perfect gentleman offering me a seat and a drink. The Orion ladies looked so lovely in their beautiful silks. Malcolm almost even had himself a new home :) and Tails was particularly loved by the bewitching Juicy Morgwain. A wonderful time was had by all at Quark's for weeks on end until the dreaded day the contraband was found and the Orions abandoned the station. Security stepped up patrols to no avail. Those stubborn green folk were determined to move in on USS Paris!! After many battles they even succeeded in taking over our beloved ship, but GFC pulled together and regained control. Unfortunately Mr. Barbosa escaped and is still at large.

After this major event, I was asked by Captain Dolamite Griffin to assist him in Strategic Operations. I gladly accepted the position since being busy and having fun in GFC are two of my favorite things to do. I continued to work closely with the AAC planning and participating in many events. When Cpt. Griffin took his extended leave and the lead position became available I quickly applied and much to my surprise got the job!! Yay!!

Though it started as a bit of a struggle getting things moving and shaking, I am proud to announce that thanks to the wonderful team in Strat Ops we now have 5 weekly in sim rps and two cross sim rps. Please be sure to check out our ad boards and blog to keep up with the events and feel free to join us at any of them be you a visitor, recruit, or enlisted member. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun!! Thank you for your time and participation! Lt.jg. Phedre Aonifall Strategic Operations Lead

Outfit Competition winner - The votes are in

                               Winning Outfit "A"

Well the votes have been counted and I'm glad.....No....Relieved to report that the discerning readers of this blog have prevailed over those voters who wouldn't know fashion if a pair of flares smacked them square in the face.

But it was touch and go for a while, two outfits were being voted on as what I'd be wearing on my regular visits as an undercover operative in Al Raqis. For some reason outfit B was leading the race, I couldn't believe our readers where going to inflict that outfit not just on me but the rest of the SL world in general.

Many hours of nail biting ensued,  quite a lot of kneeling and praying followed and then like a miracle out of some biblical text the results started to swing in favour of A. Outfit B was on the ropes, taking a pummeling from A's superior textures and flowing flexi prims. Outfit A made my Avatar look more distinctive, like he has money in his pocket and could buy a round or two in the bar.
After a week of trading punches, the results are in, "A" won with a convincing 61.5% over "B" pitiful 38.5%, the decision is final and i'm extremely relieved of being saved from wearing the outfit from hell. I raise a glass to those who voted "A" and dowse them with its contents for those who voted "B".

If you see me pottering around the GFC in outfit A, give me a wave and wish me good luck in the harsh world of undercover away missions for the fleet.

Orion's know how to party

There are two things the orions are know for.

1. Knowing how to enjoy themselves
2. Making you know they know how to enjoy themselves

AAC pilots found that out after a hard days training. They wanted nothing more than to relax in DS19 with a glass of replicated liquid that insists in masquerading as a drink, the camaraderie, backslapping of pilots and regaling each other with stories of maneuvers  they'd performed no more than twenty minutes ago as if they were retelling tails of their youth.

Orion's were the last thing they wanted to see as the adrenalin pumped through their veins and that drink masquerading as a liquid substance slid down their throats boasting an aftertaste so potent that even Klingon's are known to pour it into the nearest flower pot when no one is looking.

Of couse non of this was any concern of the two Orion's unashamedly  gyrating to the tones of  sounds they had requested being played across the bars tannoy system which resembled two drunken cardassians hitting a triangle with a spoon, but that was enough for the Orions to find some rhythm out of it to grace DS19's dance pole in a sensual and public display of courtship.

Though our AAC pilots were oblivious, these weren't just any Orions, whispers in the sandy regions of Al Raqis and Botany Bay II suggest our vegetable coloured friend had influence....So what were they doing here?

Some members of the bar sat quietly as the proceedings unfolded, they  were less oblivious and more suspicious of their visit and intended to keep a close eye on our friend from the planet below.

Undercover Snapper Needs Your Help

A Request from Jimmy Vehrous

If you know any of the following please get back to me as soon as you can:
- Who is this lady?
- Where does she live?
- What fleet does she belong to?
- What's with the fuzzy hair?

Priority One Message from DS19

Incoming message from Lt.Cmdr Vehrous

This is Lt.Cmdr Vehrous, First Officer of DS19, please patch me through to Strategic Operations . . .

To whom it may concern,
Myself and snapper Desade travelled to Al Raqis this week, Botany Bay II to be precise. snapper beamed down first, I followed suit shortly after, and we made our way into the medical complex due to the congregation of  several persons there.

We began talking with the medical officer there, the one who had given us abuse the last time we visited this part of the region. It did not help that snapper Desade decided that it was a good idea to tell the Doctor that her medical bay was slightly "sparse" on his last visit. She was not in the best mood. Apparently a Mr Malic, had visited Botany Bay a few hours before and annoyed some of the local severally. We knew that these people did not take kindly to annoyances.

We left the facility in a panic, it all went very quick, I shouted "Delta Flyer" just to direct my fellow officer. We ran! We jumped in and flew away from Botany Bay as fast as the impulse engines would take us, settling behind a sand dune in the desert. The sun was blazing in and  I could hear the faint sound of engines as another vessel began to pursue. We took off, weaving in and out of the sand structures that had formed over night, swerving to miss phaser blasts as the pursuing ship opened fire.

. . .

We got away, we passed through a region border, which we all know can be a little bumpy. We landed in Splintered Rock, under the huge landing area for the Spice Mining Facility. We waited and began repairs on the shuttle. Too Late.

We were caught, by these three. They're names eluding me. Me and my faithful companion snapper Desade standing there, drew our weapons. Bad Plan! They began shouting, shooting at the area around our feet, shouting some more. I nodded to snapper and we dropped our weapons, and our combadge's to the floor, unknowing what would follow The wanted us to strip down to our "bare" minimums, but there was not a chance of that.

I ran.

Stunning bursts passed across my shoulders and bellow my arms as I legged it for escape.

I failed.

snapper must have been knocked down as well, I don't know. We have not had time to de-brief the situation. When I woke. Medical Officer Malic. AAC Pilots Colin and Dustin and Klingon Ambassador Kal had arrived to offer assistance.

As of this moment,
Al Raqis has to be deemed Hostile.
I do not believe this should be end of our visits here though.
It will be something I talk to Commander Aionfall About.
I will be continuing my mission in Al Raqis.
