Who would argue against a large cartoon style spock standing next to the sandbox stating how logical it would be to join the GFC (GalaxyFleetCommand). Would you seriously debate such reasoning, question vulcan logic on the subject?

Nah, it wouldn't be logical to do so. If you like sci-fi, partial to a bit of fan based trek and not already a member of the group and have a secondlife account then why not come visit the sims, have a look around and in the face of overwhelming logic join the group.

One of those weeks

Its been one of those weird weeks which gets no weirder than ponies at DS19 bar..I kid you not colorful rainbow ponies knocking back the fruit juice like it was water to a thirsty man. Now, we've seen some strange sights in the bar but a pony lap dancing.....Even I had to recheck the content of the glass I was drinking....Liquid = Check, 60% proof = Check, enough alcohol to kick a mule off a stool = Check.

We also had "Talk Like A Pirate Day"....Yes it is a day....People were encouraged to come down to the beach in sovereign, throw on some piratey costumes, eye patch, wooden legs to shiver their timbers and Ooh Arrr their way through about 8 hours of dancing and tales of pirate like acts upon the open waves or maybe sovereign lake which ever was more likely to be plausible.

Sitting on Pie

Ordinarily sitting on a pie would be a messy affair but Richardjrn, Dustin and Jens risked it and successfully parked their behinds precariously on a Pie without leaving any pastry marks, no suger spots or blueberry stains.

Sitting on signs use to be an age old past time in the GFC, many members use to while away the day in sign sitting activities, chatting, laughing, telling stories about the last sign they sat on giving them splinters but I never remembered people sitting on baked food before.

Its the GFC, there's always a first.

Frozen In Time

You've seen those ultra slowmo videos of someone shooting a bullet threw an apple or something being dropped in water and how cool they look, well on derezzing the MRU (Mobile Research Unit) we were able to get a snapshot of it delinking in full flow and what an incredible sight it is too.

Ruth Of Borg

When you think of Medical lead Da5id Weatherwax you think of armored borg who if you look at the wrong way could  shoot nano's into your neck declaring "Resistance is, well forget about it, no point fighting, we'll just win so lay down and take it".  But under all that brutality there must, you would think, be some semblance of compassion left.

Well, on teleporting into quarks, for a split second we saw what could very well be the true drone revealing itself and the true Da5id I can confirmed is Ruth, we don't know much about Ruth Weatherwax and how the borg assimilated Second lifes default female avatar, but we should all take a moment, give silence on knowing that once there was a kind loving heart below all that metal, wires and nano's.

Caught off duty

If your peer over to the south east end of the sandbox you will notice a picture has been put up taken from the Star Trek Online (STO) game depicting what seems to be Admiral Cobramax, Security Chief Sereana Westland and Ensign Tails Cluny jumping on someones bed. Now who's bed, where, why and how they got there is of course open for much speculation......If you have that much time on your hands.

Suffice to say its probably the first public indications that the GFC has invaded the world of STO and we can probably expect interesting excursions between the two system. We many have to go over there and defend our honour with a few well placed torpedo blast from our fleet ships.

Definitely as case of WATCH THIS SPACE.

Even Aliens need to relax

The beach in sovereign is said to be so relaxing that even man eating acide blooded aliens can't resistant laying down and basking in the golden sun light....The scaly creature on the right didn't mind laying next to him either :)

Baby Luna

We would like to Congratulation Myra Valerian on the birth of her new baby "Luna", Mother and Child are doing well. If you see them around the GFC say hi, wave a rattle and make "goo goo" noises, Mother wont have a clue what your on about but the baby might react. The question on everybody's lips now is..... Does that mean we have to build nurseries?

As far as I'm concern the labcoat is the most mulit-purpose outfit in the fleet, in my humble opinion it goes with anything and can be worn during virtually any situation.

Births and Deaths : Labcoat, makes you look like a doctor.
Parties:  A strippergram
Dinners: a chef or butcher.
Office: Warehouse worker.
Home: Decorator.
Computers: A Geek.

But I hear you cry, what about on a hot day with the sun beating down on some sandy beach. Well last week that theory was tested out. Myself, Andy Ketterley, Damian Firecaster, Malic Skytower and Debbydo all popped up to Risa for some sun, sand and strange alcoholic drinks which all seem to have umbrella's in then.

Debbydo didn't strip off so we all said "ahhh" and put our cameras away.
Malic and Damian both donned shorts which looked like a five year old coloured them in.

And Andy....Erm.....well I'm not sure what to call what Andy had on, its an outfit even robobby wouldn't wear and that's saying something. You don't know whether you should laugh or scream, do both or just go into counselling. I think we should petition to extend the dress code to nothing less than Bikini's,short's and Andy's swimsuit.

Winter wonder sim land

Winter has come to the GFC good and proper as the place is now covered in snow. The only indication anything was happening was some weather report stating there was a cold front and blizzard on its way hitting the galaxy fleet command estate and laying down a sheet of snow and ice. Even the lake in sovereign had frozen over and people started ice skating using the free skates which have kindly been made available. For me, skates are for girl, so i strapped on my goggles and a pair of bass ass skis.

So if you have some spare time come down, slap a pair of skates, skis or whatever icy paraphernalia you have while doing your best torvil and dean impression.

GFC Nemesis..... Allegedly

With the Winter ball approaching faster than a comet on a collision course and the new GFC ball movie the guys and gals of the AAC have been filming over the last couple of days nearly in the can, there where rumors, in fact  mere whispers, voices heard in hush hush tones that GFC members could have hit the big screen and been legends in their own dinner breaks.

Could those rumors be true? Well, there seems to be some pictorial evidence to suggest that GFC's own Nemesis didn't just pick is name by chance, but was the original foe to Jean-Luc Picard in the motion picture Star Trek nemesis.

Early scripts suggested something to do with balding going where no slap head had gone before, some mission about rescuing something that needed rescuing in a space ship that flew very very fast, so fast that even Einstein would have gone "come on guys your just making this stuff up".

If rumors are to be believed then some other GFC members where suppose to also have appear in the original filming of star trek nemesis. It had been claimed our very own Snapper Desade was suppose to have got the role of that other crew member no one has ever seen before who you just know isn't going to make it back to the ship because of some accident with being shot by a lazer which Einstein would have said "Pulse lazers, Come on, stop making this stuff up". Its even said in the hallow dunes of the sandbox that Richardjrn Weatherwax made a brief appearance in the movie...... With wings.....And no one said "erm, you do know you've got wings growing out of your back....you know, just thought i'd say, in case you missed it or thought what that funny itch was".
