Ajax Crew on Trial......Again...Can't Take Them Anywhere.

This week members of the Ajax crew were captures and put on trial by romulan forces, the information coming out is sketchy, but more will be revealed in next weeks Ajax rp when the trial goes into full swing.

Audiences will be welcome to come and watch the trial in action, there are spaces at the back of the court where you can view the fate of the accused up close and personnel.

Away to Babylon

One of the most famous quotes in star trek is "To explore strange new worlds to seek out new life and new civilizations" and that's what the crew of the Ajax rp did this week, not content with travelling the four corners of the star trek universe they decided to take a slight detour to the alternative cross TV Show universe  of Babylon 5, you remember that place, more aliens in cramped accommodate than a refugee camp but as we were told, "The Babylon project was our last best hope for peace".

So looking for peace and adventure the Ajax crew teleported to B5 in search of life forms they had been tracking across the galaxy, the length and breath of the station was scanned and the data brought back to Ajax for review.

As the Andorian story continues, the crew of the Ajax find themselves in one of their abandoned experimental facilities and are shocked at what they found. Were Andorians really being being tortured for information or were they the torturers.

Andoria with the Away Team

One of the ideas of developing the Away Team Set Project was to create sets on demand, so it was the perfect test when Admiral Cobramax Mechanique requested an Andorian set for the long running Ajax RP. The team of   Rokks Resident,  katie Zwilling, Seven of Nine (zannadu Resident) and Richard Weatherwax  set about creating the set.

The team were just given pictures, articles and videos relating to the Andorian homeworld from various star trek references and came up in super quick time with an ancient set of ruins, rolling sands and underground caves.

In this RP  Starship Captain  Mechanique beamed down his team of Janel Doune, Brandy Dawn Prescott (Banditt Weintraub), Kal Aie and snapper Desade to the windy ice planet of Andoria where they came across not only andorians played by Lillian Aries and Gokyu Ugajin but an Orions in the guise of Phedre Aonifall. Dustin Sunflower came in later to add a new character  to the story.

Once again the set played its part in adding to the narrative and when you combine that with costumes and alien skins on show, it created a great atmosphere for the participants and a desire for more of the same.

RP's are the life blood of any trek sim and its good to see a handful of GFC ones which are happy to push the boundaries. There's even more technology in the works to push it further, but that's for another article <winks>.

Ajax Distress Call

When a distress call over command chat channel states there is a problem up at the Ajax set, I was on it like a moth to a 100 watt lightbulb.  What could possibly be wrong, a few tribbles multiplying, a klingon finding his feminine side or a red top officer found alive and well.

On venturing up to Ajax there was an instant sense of something wrong. Maybe the flashing red alert lights were a dead give away.  So I made my way to the bridge using one of the turbo lifts.

On arrival it was clear something was definitely amiss. Why was there a force field blocking my progress. Not being a person prepared to bang my head against it all night I force TPed myself inside and noticed something at the corner of my eye.

Looking around I saw a Gorn like figure behind the second turbolift which was also behind a force field. On further investigation I found it was Dustin Sunflower, the original sender of the distress call.

"What's going on" I asked.

"I don't know, I got here and was blocked by this force field" replied Dustin.

I went over to the console to see if I could turn the red alert off, which by now was becoming extremely irritating.

Dustin and I decided we should investigate this further and made our way to the hallways to see if we could get a better understanding of the situation and find someway to turn the infuriating alarm off.

After deciding to split up to hasten our search, Dustin later came back to informed me he got the alert switched off. I could have kissed his scaly dragon skin, but Dustin would blush, people would talk and the blog crew would not let me forget it.

With the alert silenced, the flashing disco like lights tempered, I felt I could return to my duties in the knowledge I did absolutely nothing to solved this problem, but will insist in my report that somehow my cool head in the face of irritating flashing lights, buzzing blue force fields and my sheer presence was enough to  resolved the situation....Now I've just got to find someone gullible enough to buy it......

Phedre for GFC News: Ajax had a great turnout for the trip to Risa!

"Yes, we are going to Riza, in a secret mission to find information that will help us uncover what really happend during the recent Banditt trial....
so, find your beach wear, meet up in aeon sandbox as usual in about 45 minutes, at 6:30pm slt, for briefing...
even if your not involved in the mission itself, you can be background extras milling round the beach and tiki bar..."

As one of the locals I had a great time watching the rp unfold as the little man in the straw hat gave up top-secret information to a beauty in a bikini. After the mission ended the members continued to enjoy the sun and fun with a beach party. What a way to end a great evening!! Looking forward to the next one. Thank you Admiral :)

Well tuesday night was definitely an interesting evening in GFC. It was beach party time, something you definitely don't see enough of here.
Officers and crewmen alike donned their best beach wear and danced the night away on a beautiful beach in Risa.
Even the Klingons got in on the action. Now here's something you don't see every day, a Klingon in his boxer shorts! Even the admiral let down his hair, so to speak and joined in on the fun.

I myself, although not feeling at my best, managed to cut a pretty good rug, with some of the beautiful ladies present if I do say so myself.A great time was had by all, and as the saying goes, all work and no play makes GFC officers.........well lets just say, it was a wonderful "play" evening.
But ever mindful of their duties, the party broke up early so that all involved could get a good night's rest to be back at their designated posts in the morning. I'm also told by an "informed" source, that said Risa beach will be left up a bit longer so that any other GFC personnel may make use of it as they see fit.

Roleplay adventure with the U.S.S Ajax

The USS Ajax RP is probably the longest running continuous Role-play event in secondlife, the crew of Ajax meet every Tuesday at 6:30pm PDT in the Aeon sandbox.
