Bi-Annual Ball vote result for winter 2014/15

After a week of voting the results are in for the next GFC ball to be held sometime in January 2015. In a tight vote, Pikes Orion Girl house (from Star Trek pilot the cage) won with 36% of the vote, 24% opted for the series Enterprise NX-01 ship. A respectable 16% wanted to revisit First contact, limping in at 8% was the Ba'ku Village from the film insurrection and finally the wooden spoon was shown to Lego Star Trek & Chateau Picard.

Vote for the next GFC Ball Theme

Ordinarily the bi-annual GFC ball theme is chosen by a group of senior officers in a badly lit room over hot beverages where they thrash out what the next theme will be for the ball.

In previous years we've had Klingon, Andoria, Engineering, Search for spock, Past/present/future to name but a few. what makes this years selection different is its going to be chosen not just by senior officers and division leads, but normal salt of the earth members of the group.

To facilitate this, a voting board has been erected around strategically placed points throughout the sims. This gives members maximum opportunity to cast their votes and have a say. The board features seven choice themes to vote from, the village in the film Star Trek: Insurrection, orion girls from pilot episode the cage, lego star trek, the NX - 01 (Enterprise set), right  up to first contact movie.

To operate the board is a simple matter of clicking the strips which has your selection on them, you have the choice to vote for a theme or get more information.  You can vote as many times as you like, only your final  vote counts.

The provisional closing date to vote is 29 November 2014 unless later stated otherwise.

So here's your chance to  have a say in how the next ball looks, so don't miss out on your vote.

After days of waiting, probably for something else.
