Engineering to the Sandbox ....
There we were minding our own business, when in a freak transporter mishap, our very own Captain Snapper Desade was molecularly bonded with a visitor to the sandbox. Oh my what a rather unfortunate turn of events ... Snapper's beloved Ensign Debbydo could only watch in horror as two become one right in front of our eyes.
But do not fear, after a reverse of the transport cycle and a little reconfiguration of the pattern buffer and matter stream all was put right again! .... Phew that as a close one!

Remind you of a Spice Girls song? .... Two become one

Privacy Please
Recreation time always turns up some interesting conundrums, such as what does a person do if they need to use the gents room whilst in the sandbox? But thanks to a bit of 24th century technology and the flexibility of prims .... we have instalav! The portable portable, flexible toilet facility in SL.
Lt. Cmdr. MJ Mathy modelled the latest model whilst we sat and had a discussion ..... not at the table please MJ! Manners ..... you are letting the Empire down! :P

Instalav .... get yours now!

Holodeck Mishap
I noticed Debs was int he area so activated the transporter to meet her. And lo and behold, where was she? In the holodeck high in the sky of Aeon. This is no problem you say, she was probably enjoying some R&R .... nope she hadn't even activated a holo-program. So what does one do? .... Well I thought it would be a lovely gesture to activate a nice relaxing program I know. "Computer activate program ...." then shock, horror! The holo-matrix did not make it to Debs and she went hurtling through the sky to the ground by the GFCA Library.
Fair Debs, we knew her so well .... sniff sniff.

Ensign Debbydo .... R.I.P.

Just for fun - Caption Competition
Well, as you can image ... it peaked my curiosity so I zoomed in to have a closer look and he was making moves which could easily be interpreted for hmmm well, this is a PG blog, so that is all I will say .... Anyway it gave me an idea, I quickly started taking pics and here is one for you all. This is just for fun, so let's see who can come up with the most creative caption for this pic. This particular animation has him riding forward and back on his butt.

Don't worry we're not asleep
It has occurred to us that no one has posted in the last 48 hours to keep you up to date in the happenings of our humble fleet. Don't worry, we haven't all been annihilated in a Borg attack, nor have we got lost in the gravametric pull of some distant blackhole in the quadrant. Truth is my friends, we decided to have a little rest following the significant achievement of our exercise. Just a small breather, in fact this is a little postcard to show what we have been up to.
Our resident holographic research program Lt. Richardjrn Weatherwax, has converted the top of the Mobile Research Unit (actual name is much more complicated so I am abbreviating it) into a swimming pool, that's right a swimming pool!
A number of us spent 4 hours partying there yesterday (sorry no pics we were enjoying it too much), and some of us have decided to continue the exercise for a time today.

Richardjrn, Debbydo, Kal and Dave relax by the pool (looks like Dave is on the pop!)
Much of a muchness, the fleet has continued it's usual operations with more news to follow. And we haven't neglected you, we have been tweaking one or two minor things with the blog.
In your service,
Lt. Cmdr. Dave Fearguis

What do you do when a graduate misses the graduation party?
Yesterday saw the graduation of a number of GFC's finest recruits from the Academy. It was also the first formal ceremony held by my successor, Lt. ZhaanP'auZoolu, as Commandant since her official appointment.

Lt. ZhaanP'auZoolu, Commandant - GFC Academy
We had the customary party afterwards at the Fifth Pip, but unfortunately not all the graduates were able to make the ceremony due to timezone issues. Especially our two former borg ... Six and Seven who are from the land of Oz. So what do we do? ....... we celebrate again of course!
I logged in world today to be transported to Risa where a small number of us joined Six and Seven on the beach for a cheeky little drink and celebration. Congrats on the graduation girls and good luck with the postings in the fleet.

C2C Seven .... taking in the Risan surroundings

A little piece of heaven and a break from duty .... Welcome to Risa!
Needless to say congratulations all who graduated the Academy yesterday. You make us proud!
