In Western society, and indeed most of the world, humanity has begun to drastically advance in universal understanding of the benefits that differences can bring to the progress of our species; we share thoughts; ideas; dreams and adventures in ways which was once thought to be impossible. Each person can now bring their own uniqueness to the collective and constant stream of information spread instantly through the interwebs. This is a prime example of this.
No more apparent of this is SecondLife - a game in all respects of the word. But a game that emulates everything we wish to be reality; some dream of a world where they can be a pirate from eras long past, or an adventurer in eras yet arrived. Wars rage in pix-elation, where no true harm can be brought to themselves in the desire for blood shed, while other look to create fantasy universes - free of the influences that a political planet may bring. Regardless, they come for one reason - to achieve something from their imagination which would otherwise be beyond reality.
We quest to become officers in a future and society where all forms of prejudice between man has become redundant, and as such poverty and discrimination no longer plague the hearts and minds of men who are separated not by distinct biological difference, but by their unique characteristics.
Often we - as an entity - forget that we are all players, united by this common cause. To boldly go where no-one has gone before.
All men are equal until a ladder of inequality is created to place those who seek to place themselves above their fellow man.
Everyone has a right to equality - whether they be of a different skin colour; race; mental disposition; gender or sexual orientation. And those who seek to deny this right must be remember that they are not the majority, but a single piece of a collective species which pulses as one.
Every possible instance of man has faced inequality at some era - from the poor, who sought so hard to be equals with their factory owners in the 18th century to those of a different race or gender to the white male who fought valiantly to gain even lines within the last 70 years across the United States, Europe and, infact, most of the globe.
