Weekly AAC Event - 02/07/2011
Personal Log - Jimmy Vehrous

The USS Paris - Sovereign

I applied for Starfleet Academy a few weeks back and I have been enjoying my time as a recruit, the sense of family is outstanding. I have been attending the weekly Academy Air Corps (AAC events that occur in the Sovereign sector. I arrived on board the USS Paris out of uniform, I had to apologize to the Asst. Lead of AAC because I had a malfunctioning transporter buffer and I could not seem to re-materialize my uniform. No-body seemed to have a problem and we continued as normal.

We were "told" that we were going to the Thraldom system and that we would partake is a series of dogfights in which we would take control of our personal shuttle craft and fight for survival in a free-for-all feud. I was well up for the challenge! We were dismissed after a small briefing an I ran to my Delta Flyer; I was so excited.

I flew my shuttle into Thraldom and the fight began. I took some damage to my shield however a quick re-route from my replicators corrected this issue. I made some great maneuvers before my safety systems kicked in and took me out of the game. I was gutted. I was shocked to find out that I had been 3rd last standing which for me; was quite a feat.

The Delta Flyer

We had several rounds of these dogfights however the other members of the group has assignments and had to leave. It was the end of a brilliant sparring session with the other members of the fleet. I felt elated to be able to have a good time with people that I'd never met before.

Personally I had a brilliant time and every day I meet someone new, I love that about GFC! It was then finally time for me to head off back to my quarters, and go to bed before a jam-packed week of classes and tests. Until Next time.
